The Anxious Anthropologist is a blog that offers thoughts, musings, insights and perspectives on everyday life.  I take this name from two areas of interest: the workings of the mind and the ordinariness of everyday life informed by the rich perspectives of anthropology.  Let’s see how “useless” a major this really is.  I will blog about ordinary events, very ordinary events to shed light on how culture is lived and expressed through our taken for granted ways of being in the world.  If you’re interested in the ordinary and the sometimes extraordinary, this blog is for you.  Let’s look at curating the expressions and experiences of our lives. This blog is my microscope.  Come along and have a look!
